Abstract Older adults who transition to independent and assisted-living communities perceive their experience differently. This research focused on understanding what factors were predominant for a successful from long-time home dependent living community. A constructivist grounded theory method was used explore the experiences of 18 older had relocated within past year. The participants this study aged 65-95 years are equally represented by gender.
